Raleigh / Rampar R-10 BMX
Entertainment USA!  We all know that bicycle motocross (BMX) started in California (USA) back in the 70s and this area of the website explores the evolution of the Raleigh / Rampar R-10 BMX (which we would recognise in Britain as the Mk I Burner).

During the 1970s, Raleigh of Nottingham sold Huffy the US rights to the Raleigh brand. The Rampar name comes from the acronym; RAleigh AMerica PARts and was originally used as the brand name for all parts distributed by Raleigh U.S.A. These pages are dedicated to the US Raleigh / Rampar BMX and include the 1979 R-10 brochure reproduced in full...

Three years before any of us had ever heard of a Super Burner, you could go out and buy an R-10SC in the States (yes, the SC stands for Superchrome)!
